How much does it cost to invite a robot for an event?
The same model can cost differently at two events. Here is what an estimate is made of and how not to overpay.

“How much does an invite a robot for an event cost?” is the question we get most often. The honest answer: it depends on the task. Two hours of a robot in a photo zone and a full show with a custom script, brand voice and AI answers are very different amounts of work. Here is what the price is made of, so you can plan your budget.
The robot model
A humanoid and a robot dog differ both in the cost of the platforms and in how much preparation an act requires. A programmable version with open code, such as Go2 EDU, offers more room for interaction, but setting it up takes longer too. If two robots work at an event, the estimate does not double: the engineer, transport and part of the script are shared.
Duration and number of appearances
We do not count hours of “presence” but actual work: how many appearances, how long, and at which moments of the programme. A robot does not work non-stop – it charges between sessions, so a full day at an event is several planned performances. The denser the schedule, the more batteries and engineer attention it takes.
Script: standard or indivifual
This is the biggest price factor.
- Standard act – a proven programme from our library: greeting, dance, photos with guests. Quick to prepare, lowest price.
- Individual act — the same base with your lines, company name, music and robot styling.
- Premium act – an act built from scratch around the event idea: new choreography, a dialogue with the host, sync with lights and video.
Voice and AI
A robot that plays pre-recorded phrases is the cheaper option. If it should answer guests’ free-form questions, we set up an AI assistant: prepare a knowledge base about your company, set topic boundaries and test it on typical and “awkward” questions. It is extra work, but it is what creates the feeling of a live conversation.
City, date and logistics
Our base is near Lviv, so events in other cities add travel and, if needed, accommodation for the team. The date matters too: in peak conference and corporate-party weeks (end of the year, May) the schedule is tight and it pays to book early.
We also account for setup: whether we can arrive the day before, or have to prepare in the morning before opening, and whether there is a lift to the hall.
What is usually already included
- an engineer who accompanies the robot at the event;
- delivery, unpacking and a test run;
- a rehearsal at the venue;
- a video of the performance from our cameras.
How to get an accurate estimate faster
To let us price it in a single call, have ready:
- the date and city of the event;
- the format (conference, exhibition, corporate party, festival) and number of guests;
- the role you see for the robot and the desired number of appearances;
- whether you need custom lines, a brand voice, AI answers.
When inviting is not the best deal
If you need a robot regularly – monthly at events, daily in a showroom or office – compare inviting it to your event with asking it to stay with you forever, a robot configured for your task. We cover this in detail in “Temporary or Permanent?: Which is More Beneficial for Business".
Where to save and where not to
The easiest way to trim a budget is the number of appearances and the complexity of the script. Two or three strong performances at key moments often deliver more than a robot standing by the entrance all day. Adapting a ready act is also cheaper than building a new one.
Do not save on the on-site rehearsal or the engineer’s presence: they guarantee the act happens as planned even when timing shifts, the internet drops or the floor turns out slippery.
